Close encounter with a young red knot on its first migration south. Laying flat on the ground at he waters edge it was possible to get the waders to come within the close focusing distance of the lens.
A young common ringed plover photographed on a shore on Öland at the end of July. The low perspective was muddy but worth it.
Although the common snipe could see me laying flat on my stomach in the mud it still posed for the camera.
