Once you got close to the purple sandpipers, they seem to no longer care about your precence. Sometimes it felt like they were trying to run right over the lens!
Rain may not be what you primarily dream about when you plan to go out on the mountain. But if you are a birdphotographer, it can be an advantage, it adds life to the photos and prevents the light from becoming far too harsh. And the golden plover being photographed didn't seem to care much about the rainfall.
