A young common ringed plover photographed on a shore on Öland at the end of July. The low perspective was muddy but worth it.
Although the common snipe could see me laying flat on my stomach in the mud it still posed for the camera.
The common snipe keeps one eye open when it rests, just in case I should turn out to be more dangerous than I look.
