Sanderling during autumn migration.
I'm probably not the only one heading to the mountains with the goal of photographing dotterels in beautiful evening light. As a bird photographer, you know that there is lots of factors to take into consideration. And when the planets finally align and the conditions are right, the bird in question must also appear. Of course, the dotterels decided to wait and appear only when the fog was thick and the drizzle was falling. So instead of a picture with crackling colors, it turned out to be a bit more muted shades and a rather diffused light.
