With lightpollution from the mainland in the background and the Milky Way towering above, the old dead tree comes into focus once again. An exposure for the sky and eight exposures where different parts of the foreground were illuminated with a flashlight were combined in PS to create the final image.
The constellation Orion over the restored houses in iron age fortress in Eketorp, Öland. The starry sky is ten exposures that have been stacked together with four dark frames to reduce the noise in the image. The foreground is twelve exposures where different parts are illuminated with a flashlight.
The Långe Erik lighthouse located on Öland's northern most point lights up the darkness under the Milky Way. The lighting in the lighthouse is now changed from its original position to a dimmer bulb that is attached to the railing itself, which makes it look as if the light has been placed incorrectly in the picture. The picture is a panorama in three rows of seven, six and six panes respectively, where each pane consists of four exposures stacked to reduce the noise.
